As part of our ongoing commitment to community development and in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education, our organization recently undertook a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support students in need.

On 10th March 2026, we extended our support to Dekatana Primary College, Dekatana, which serves children from underprivileged families. These students face significant challenges in accessing essential educational and daily school necessities.

Through this initiative, we donated housekeeping and sanitary items to the school. The principal highlighted the need for cleaning supplies and hygiene essentials to maintain the school environment, which hosts 20 classrooms and approximately 500 students. We proposed providing essential cleaning items for each classroom, along with additional sanitary supplies to support the school’s daily maintenance.

The program was organized by Nuwan Kumara, Branch Manager – Mahara Kadawatha, under the leadership of Gihan Mathew, Regional Manager, and carried out successfully with the dedicated team from the Mahara branch. The initiative was guided by the Sustainable Governance Committee, chaired by our Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Laksanda Gunawardena, along with committee members.

Initiatives like this allow us to strengthen our dedication to promoting education and making a positive impact on communities in need.
