For the financial year 2024/25, Mercantile Investments obtained independent verification of its organization-level Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Statement from the Sri Lanka Climate Fund (Pvt) Ltd (SLCF), under the Ministry of Environment, in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018. This verification strengthens the reliability, completeness, and consistency of MI’s GHG emissions data and supports robust environmental performance monitoring and reporting.
The verification process supports alignment with national and international climate-related frameworks, including Sri Lanka’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. MI continues to integrate climate-related considerations into operational and risk management processes through regular emissions monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to improved climate resilience and long-term environmental sustainability.
